Humblewood: Beyond the Canopy
We’re thrilled to announce Humblewood: Beyond the Canopy, the long-awaited sequel to the original Humblewood Campaign Setting! We unveiled our cover art at PAX Unplugged earlier this month. Isn’t it stunning?
Humblewood: Beyond the Canopy is a standalone sequel to Humblewood that takes you further than you've ever gone before, out into the vast continent of Wesden!
The book includes:
- A new adventure for levels 5–8
- 6 new races and 2 new subraces for existing Humblewood races
- A new class: The Gadgeteer
- 3 new subclasses
- New backgrounds, feats, and spells
- A setting guide for the continent of Wesden, with 4 new regions to explore
- 40+ new monster and NPC stat blocks

The Making of Humblewood 2
The Making of Humblewood 2 is our YouTube livestream series where we take you behind the scenes of the development of Humblewood: Beyond the Canopy! In these videos, we host interviews with the team and our collaborators, including deep dives into the creation of the Eluran language, the art direction process, Humblewood deities, and more. Awards
We pride ourselves on making engaging games that spark player imaginations and enable them to tell compelling stories, and it’s always nice to see others recognize our hard work! This year, we were nominated for ENNIE Awards in five categories:

This year we released Humblewood Tales, a sourcebook and adventure anthology!

Alongside Humblewood Tales, we also released Humblewood: For Want of a Nail, a 68-page comic written by Gail Simone (Birds of Prey, Batgirl, Red Sonja) and enchantingly illustrated by Sarah Webb (Kochab). The comic invites you to enter the world of Humblewood from a new perspective, following the adventures of dedicated Swift Gale courier Flit Lightstep. He finds himself in a tangle of dark magic and political deceit, carrying a vital message strapped to his tiny leg.
Can the actions of this humblest of heroes shift the balance of fate and save the Wood from the threats lurking in the shadows?
The comic also comes with stat blocks, character creation tools, and adventure hooks for you to use in your game!

Kickstarter Fulfillment
Fulfillment is in full swing for many of our older crowdfunding campaigns! We are shipping rewards for Hexbound, Fool’s Gold: Into the Bellowing Wilds, Humblewood Tales, The Fablemaker’s Deck of Many Things, and Scroungecraft Series 2, and our newer campaigns are moving forward at a great pace. Thank you for your patience and support this year as we get your rewards to you!
New Campaigns
We launched a number of exciting new campaigns this year, including the Field Guide to Floral Dragons, One Last Fight, and Scroungecraft Series 2!
With the experience gained from previous campaigns, we’re well on track to delivering these rewards! You’ll hear more about these in the new year!
Conventions
We love meeting you folks at conventions! This year marked our first-ever time at a European con. Our team headed to Germany for Spiel Essen 2024 and it was a blast! We also returned to Gen Con and Origins Game Fair.
At Big Bad Con, we ran a game of Humblewood: Shock in Stormcrag and a SHIFT workshop, which we then expanded for PAX Unplugged! If you want to learn to play SHIFT or build a World Spark, check out our videos!

Badge Quest
We acquired Badge Quest from Dave “DMDave” Hamrick, allowing the project to come to fruition under our creative direction.
Badge Quest is a game where players take on roles of members of the Brave Blossoms girls’ youth group to solve mysteries and slay monsters. We’re excited to give new life to this hotly anticipated TTRPG!
New Titles
Splattered Ink Games, Aaron Miller, Loot Tavern, and Adventures Await are just some of the wonderful people we worked with this year!
Splattered Ink Games is the creator of the Seeds of Decay campaign setting, which includes rules for Tiny player characters and an adventure where you must save a forest from decay!
Aaron Miller is the creator of the Ready Reference Decks, handy cards for 5e wild shapes, spells, and beasts!
Loot Tavern is the publisher of Heliana’s Guide to Monster Hunting and L’Arsène’s Crafting Catalogue, two supplements with new crafting rules for 5e!
Adventures Await is a collection of adventures for levels 1–15!
Also notable is SINK!, the 5e supplement for pirates and tattoos by Samurai Rusk, Ricky Esquivias, and Johnny Stanton. SINK! had a hugely successful Kickstarter this past September and we can’t wait to bring it to life. See SINK! in action on Critical Role!
