What is SHIFT RPG?

SHIFT RPG is an upcoming indie tabletop roleplaying game (TTRPG) from Canadian game publisher Hit Point Press. It is played with a set of five polyhedral dice (d4 through d12) and helps you tell a story with your friends. SHIFT is setting agnostic, meaning you can play it in any setting you like.

What is Dorado Station?
Dorado Station is a sci-fi western World Spark for SHIFT RPG. Players play as prospectors: itinerant miners bound to three-day contracts, sent from a space station in rickety drop ships. Characters work for Ordaz Holdings, an exploitative employer. Dorado Station offers opportunities to play with intense inter-company competition, deadly rivals, and hostile fauna.
How can I use Dorado Station in my game?
There are several options for using Dorado Station in your SHIFT game.
- Dorado Station as a standalone setting. The World Spark offers plot hooks, NPCs, and player character abilities that you can use to tell an independent story.
- Dorado Station as part of a larger setting. While self-contained, Dorado Station can be one of many locations in your sci-fi setting. You can flesh out relationships between existing locations and tie it in as part of the larger plot of your adventure.
- Dorado Station as an introduction. We often use Dorado Station to introduce new players to SHIFT. It’s easy to navigate and invites players right into the action.
