Choose your Dharma. Shape the Nation. Defy the Sun.
Sunless Dunesis a new Campaign Setting for D&D 5e/5.5e inspired by 17th century India and South-Asia, taking your table to the nation of Kasaaq within the northern deserts of the continent of Eqos. The various cities, noble houses, races, and subclasses found within this setting are each influenced by one of the many diverse cultures found in and around India, set during a time period in which steam power is beginning to shake-up old feudal ways.
This book aims to showcase the cultural diversity of South-Asia, and include more than just a simple unified "Indian" culture that most other settings with an asian-inspired region within them end up featuring. Sunless Dunes has inspirations from multiple different cultures from around the subcontinent such as Mughal, Marathi, Rajasthani, Bengali, Punjabi, Manipuri, Malayali, Tamil; and even Persian and Tibetan.
The rich cultural exploration similar to The Islands of Sina Una meets the variety of playable animal folk similar to Humblewood, as Eqos is populated by beastfolk based on cats, monkeys, bears, crocodiles, elephants, and even half-scorpions.
