Hit Point Press at Big Bad Con

A graphic with a Palestinian keffiyeh bordering the top. Text reads, "Join the #BigBadBoycott. From the river to the sea." #BigBadBoycott is in stamped block letters with a red background. Below the text is a divider of watermelons. Below the watermelons is a green background with text that reads, "We, as professionals and hobbyists in the TTRPG space, are pledging to boycott Big Bad Con 2024 in solidarity with a free Palestine."

Hey everyone! We wanted to update you about our plans for Big Bad Con, taking place in San Francisco in late October. We were scheduled to run two activities: A game of Humblewood: Shock in Stormcrag and a SHIFT game design workshop.

In light of the news regarding Big Bad Con’s censorship of anti-Zionist and pro-Palestinian language and the subsequent call to boycott the con, we currently do not plan to attend the convention. The boycott organizers have written a demand letter, which you can read here. The demand letter also includes a detailed account of the events leading up to the boycott.

Here at Hit Point Press, we are staunchly against the genocide of Palestinians perpetrated by the Israeli Occupation Forces. As a publisher in the TTRPG space, we have signed the demand letter in solidarity with a free Palestine and are committed to boycotting the convention if the demands are not met.

For the past two years, we have enjoyed our time at Big Bad Con, and we hope that the convention will meet the demands. We are following the situation closely and will keep you updated about our plans, should the circumstances change.
